With 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry, Roberta Smith brings a wealth of knowledge to her role as a Mortgage Loan Officer for PenFed Mortgage.  Her career began in Virginia, continued in the Carolinas and Ohio, and then travelled to New Jersey.  She has experience lending with large bank mortgage companies, with boutique mortgage banker operations and, now, with PenFed!

Roberta has helped many people throughout Central New Jersey and beyond achieve their dream of home ownership. She feels that the best part of her job is educating first-time homebuyers about available financing options, and helping them choose a loan that's right for them. Her dedication to her customers has helped her earn several industry awards.

She has also served as a college instructor, providing real estate education to New Jersey and Ohio students, consumers and real estate agents. She is a member of the community service organization, Rotary International, and a number of Chambers of Commerce and business networking groups.

A native of Virginia, Roberta holds a B.S. degree in Finance from University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce. She plays an active role in her community as a board member of Rotary of the Plainfields. Musically inclined, she also sings in Harmony Celebration Chorus, a women's a cappella show chorus, is piano accompanist for Notables Singers of Basking Ridge, pianist for a number of other arts and performing groups, and organist of Wilson Memorial Union Church of Watchung, NJ.
